Not taking chances, the duo walked up a short ladder to reach the concrete walkway. 'This way had to lead out of here.'Collin thought to himself as Officer Hemendez pulled him up, and they both began walking.
The lights guiding their way were dim as dim could be, but they sufficed to see the tunnel. Pipes from above would slosh out logs of crap and blobs of vomit, which hit the foul amalgamation below with a slosh, Colin himself trying to lose his lunch at the stench and sights in the septic underground.
"How long do these routes go anyway?" Colin groaned.
"My cousin was a sewer worker." Officer Hemendez said, "And he told me that it depends on how big a system like this is."
Colin gave a less than asured look.
Officer Hemendez reassuredly said "Trust me, we'll be out of here in no... time..."

"Oh that is it, you asshole!" the Officer yelled, tackling him.
Out of bullets from dealing with rats trying to eat away at them, the two brawled on the pathway. Punch after punch, bloody spurt after gush of blood, they foight until a light shone through the area around a ladder.
"HALLELUJAH, THE SURFACE!" Colin yelled as he shoved the woman aside and scrambled up the ladder.
"We don't know where that goes, you dumbass!" the officer yelled as she stumbled up.
As Colin got up there, he yelled "I'll tell you what it is: a ticket out of this shit hole!" He opened the manholewith a crowbar he grabbed at the base of the ladder. Sunlight shown down as...
