The air smelled of sewage and sulphur. It blinded Susan's sense of smell as she rode in the helicopter. Air rushed past her face, creating creases and temporary scars. The wind clawed at her flesh as she closed the door stopping the air from flooding the interior. "Okay I feel better now" Susan smugs as she leans back on her chair with her lip stuck to microphone. The pilot looked at her and smiled "That's good then we are gonna need all hands on deck once we reach the temple" said the Pilot as he throttled left a bit.
Susan took out her phone and pressed it against the microphone. It felt cold against her lip. "I need to make a call to my expert" said Susan as she dialled a number. The pilot brought up his hand to signal they were landing. The air brushed against the windows as if it was trying to break and smash into the cockpit. The phone rang two times before her expert picked up. Susan could feel the helicopter moving before she got an answer "Hello Su-" Susan cut off his speech as she talked swiftly and clearly "There's no time Louis, meet me on the roof in ten minutes, oh yeah and bring that weird rune thing".
Susan put down the phone and brought out a picture. It was Louis and Susan at Malta standing next to a quarry. They looked happy together, as friends that is. Since the 3rd grade they had known each other, gone through conflicts but made it through together. As far as Ideas go Susan had the best, she would make things happen, through strategy and persusian she had great resilience as well. Susan thought Louis was jealous of her. The way he looks at her like she's holding diamonds or she's standing on a golden statue. To him she's a angel and to her he is a friend.
"We are landing" said the Pilot. She heard the turbines start slowing down a bit as they descended quickly down. The helicopter bounced up and down. It reached the landing zone without damage and made a small thud as it landed. The engines were still on. They weren't staying long they were just there to pick up Louis. Susan looked out of the window and saw the university roof in front of her and a large shopping mall to her right. It was a beautiful little place and she couldn't wait to see Louis again.
Susan saw the doors open and Louis ran up the stairs and looked at Susan. She smiled happily as she saw her friend again. Louis smiled also and in excitement ran to the helicopter and climbed in. He took the seat next to her and as he sat down the helicopter turbines started up again and they lifted off the ground. Louis put on the helicopter gear and talked to Susan "So, what's the beef and where the hell have you been".
