"Why did you leave my head there?" Nate asked.
"We were going to come back and get you," Benedict said, "We were trying to make a joke!"
"Then why were you smiling and laughing like that?!" Nate shouted, "And why did you lock me in?!"
"We were kinda caught up in the moment," Arnold said. "We had never been brought to life by fusing with a child, and we were curious as to what would happen."
"So, when you took control of the body and took my head off," Nate said, "you were curious as to what would happen?"
"Yes," Benedict said.
"We're sorry we shut you up here," Arnold said, "but Daryll has never taken us upstairs very often."
"Wait, you guys know my dad?" Nate asked.
"He's your dad?" Benedict asked.
"He never actually named us, and I don't think he ever let us make a decision without him," Arnold said. "I think that's what inspired us to try this body out for ourselves when you treated us so well."
"Well, as long as you let me keep my own head on these shoulders," Nate said, "I could let you guys hang out, as long as none of the three of us tries to overpower the others."
"Sure," Benedict said.
"Agreed," Arnold said.
"So what now?" Benedict asked.
"My best friend Zach is at a costume party tonight," Nate said, "so why don't we go there? We already have a great 'costume'."
Benedict and Arnold smiled at this, not because they wanted to remove Nate's head from their shared body again, but because they would be able to go out into the world with him. The three body bros went back into the room to inspect themselves in the mirror--they fixed their makeup, dusted off their breastplate, and tucked their teal shirt into their brown pants. They were impressed by their 'costume'; once again they looked exactly like a wrestler named Triple Threat from a 2003 cartoon show, though they knew well that they really weren't.
After that, it was off to the party.
