Josie Hadley read over the new issue of Animalia Magazine, disappointed to see that her story had been rejected. Although the contents of the Animalia Magazine were printed at the discretion of the editor, she felt she had to issue a reply, especially since a Horizon Lab scientist had directly referenced her story.

Dear Sir or Madam,
In regards to my story about Shigeko, I never implied that she was a true 'kaiju'. No such creature exists and it would be impossible to create one with the Animalian virus without a source of DNA. Shigeko was a Chimera created from a mixture of human, dinosaur, and Axolotl DNA that merely looked like a miniature version of a fictional kaiju. Of course nothing as large as a fictional kaiju could survive in reality. But Shigeko was only 12 feet tall, little bigger than Tyra.
I did not think my story deviated from cannon. Still, I will concede and refrain from spending time drafting additional chapters if you feel my content is not acceptable. I wish you and the other authors good luck in the future and was just glad to be a small part of this universe. I meant no harm and I hope that I positively contributed to the story line in some way.
Thank you and goodbye,
JosieHadley

Josie sighed as she signed off of the Animalia Magazine website forum. She began to scour the internet for other places where she could share her ideas, not bitter but just a little sad.
