I am Thunder. (female)
As I mentioned in the last chapter, I am the deputy of the
Freedom Fighters.
My soldier in training, or apprentice as you might say, is Whip-Lash.
Whip-Lash is as his name explains.
He is sometimes reckless, yet still, also very focused, but loves to play.
I believe that one day he will grow up to be a great Freedom Fighter, perhaps even a bit like War-fighter. But that time is far from now.
Right now, I’m working on teaching him the importance of teem-work.
The day started as any day would for a rebale band on their home planet. Morning sunshine broke through the dark, forest pine trees.
A pine forest is, as it turns out, a great place for making a secret base camp. The almost threatening pines make it exsedingly hard to spot from the air; not making it easy for any passing Lion-wings who may be looking for us.
The trees are also very maze like; again, making it tuff for
Crystal Dwellers to find on the ground.
Basically the layout is:
walls of pine trees on all sides,
a prey pile to the left of the thorn entrance,
a soldiers’ den,
a training-to-be-soldiers’ den,
a central mound (for meetings),
and of course, the leader’s cavern.
Our current leader is: Sky-Stone.
I must say, I am very proud to be her deputy. I know she must trust me, as I trust her.
The day was apsulotly beautiful!
Not a cloud in the brisk, dawn sky could be seen.
I stretched my cheetah body.
My dragon wings caught the breeze, while my front eagle talons ached to run and jump and hunt.
I yawned.
Yes, today was a good day to go hunting, I decided.
Leaving for the exit, I heard the sound of faint paw steps behind me...
* ROARRRR!!! *
Suddenly, something or someone swooped down and tackled me!
Quickly getting to my paws I realized who: Whip-Lash.
{ Got’ch ya! } he purred.
{ Yeah right! } I answered, landing on him. We scrambled in the dirt for awhile, until we both looked quite silly.
{ Now, I was wondering if you would like another hunting lesson. } I chipped.
{ Sure! } was the reply.
So off we went!
