So quite sensibly Ilvir reverse course and headed back for the point he'd entered.
Once away from the horror leading to the Palace
Ilvir found another tunnel and soon he and Kitty were inside a still functioning Surveillance Building.
It was getting late so after activating the bank of magically driven crystal balls
Ilvir and Kitty settled down for the night.
It was around Midnight when Ilvir was awakened by the soft beep from one of the crytal viewers.
He went over to it and wasn't too surprised to discover it gave a view of another
tunnel leading to the
Palace.
And there in the tunnel holding torches was a party of
hobbit-apes,dragging along sacks.
More tomb robbers,wondered Ilvir.
So he pulled up a stone chair and gazed at the
hobbit-apes through the crystal ball.
The nine hobbit-apes trudged along and
stopped at one junction to read a inscription
that was carved into the wall as a wrning.
Though Ilvirs grasp of hottiten was rusty
who could tell it was a warning telling intruders to go no
further or the
Guardian Monster would get them.
Unlike Ilvir however ,the hobbit-apes ignored the warning and carried on....
