Kyle couldn't help but laughing. The hypnosis worked even better than he had hoped for. Ally had gone town to town on her supper, not caring that her brother was watching her.
Ally stared at her brother, tongue lolling out, seemingly unaware of the world around her. Then she blinked, shook her head, and tried to figure out what had happened. Immediately, she noticed her brother's expression.
"It's not that funny!" she protested, blushing profusely. Why had she done that? She had a spoon next to the bowl, yet she had dived in face first. She didn't even think twice about it. It was so embarrassing, and yet a small part of her was proud of her actions. Although she didn't realize it, subconsciously Ally was proud of eating her meal like a Good Girl.
Ally grabbed a paper towel to dry herself off, still confused by her actions.
"Never speak of this again, okay?" she ordered her brother.
She went back to her room, and started texting her friends, obviously not mentioning the cereal incident.
Meanwhile, Kyle was confused. His sister had gone back to normal. It was like a yo-yo effect. One minute she was panting like a dog, the next minute she was drying herself off like a human.
Kyle thought back to how he used the trigger. "Ally, be a Good Girl, and eat all your food." That was it! Ally's brain had trouble thinking like a dog. He guessed it was because she hadn't been around dogs very much, given her allergies. She needed some guidance with the trigger, otherwise she would just be confused by it. The second part of the sentence gave her the idea of eating like a dog. It was a reminder of how dogs acted, and so she acted accordingly. Once the task was completed, however, her human nature reasserted itself.
Kyle stroked his chin. His explanation made sense to him, and it would make controlling Ally a lot easier. All he had to do was remind her of some dog-behavior he wanted from her, and she would happily obey. That gave him some great ideas. And when he got bored, he could use the other trigger to make her a full dog.
Speaking of Ally, she was holed up in her room still. That wasn't any fun for Kyle. He contemplated his options.
