The hybrid walked through house in her human form into living room. “Mom?” Naomi asked. “Dad?”
“Yes?” Her mother looked up to her child. He father was sitting next to her mom. Currently Aiko was watching TV.
Naomi put her hand on her arm. “I… I want help in getting Sheena.” She looked down.
Her smother smiled, and her father nodded. “Alright then.” Her father said. “Now I am not too surprised, since you awoke I always knew you would get your mothers drive to hunt.”
“You say like it’s a bad thing honey,” Mrs. Yakiyko smiled at her husband.
Mr. Yakiyko crossed his arms. “No, it’s not.” He smiled at his wife. He then looked back at Naomi. “So you really want to hunt her down.”
“Yes…. I just want her.” Naomi looked sheepish.
Her mother smiled with a bit of an evil look. “You are a true drider. WE never let our prey get away.”
“But I am not a drider.” Naomi shook her head.
Her mother looked hurt, but her father asked. “Then do you see yourself like me a hunter?”
“I don't see myself as a drider…” Naomi’s mother frowned. “Or a hunter… I just don't know what I am.”
Mr. Yakiyko nodded. “Naomi you are special and not because we love you… but because you are our child.” He put a hand on his wife’s. Naomi perked up. “Those that are born of two races normally align themselves to one of the two races.”
“I see.” Naomi nodded with a soft smile.
“Eventually you will decide what you align to.” Her father leaned back into his chair.
“That is right. Most of the hybrid I seen. Between any race has one that they align themselves with.” Her mother said. “Personally, I think you make a wonderful drider~” She laughed.
“So, it must be either one, right?” Naomi asked.
Her father shook his head, “not quite.” He received a huh from Naomi. “Most just think themselves of one race first over the other.” He paused. “The ones I knew always had one body they preferred over the other.”
‘But I love both bodies!’ Naomi thought. ‘Why?’ She asked herself.
“Just don’t think too much about it little Spider. You’ll know what you consider yourself soon enough.” Her mother reassured her making Naomi softly smile.
“How should I go about hunting her?” Naomi finally asked.
“It will be hard little spider.” Her mother said. “Unless you mark them. It will be very hard to find the same fairy again.” Naomi started to go sad, but her mother smiled. “But I did so happen to put some trap magic on her.”
Her husband laughed, “Oh you did? I knew something felt off when you sent her out. I knew I felt your trap magic.”
Naomi shook her head. “Wait you put trap magic on her?”
“OF course. I was feeling…” She paused. “Unusually generous and put some on her to let her survive out there.” She shrugged. “But, that magic would only work and last if she figured out how to call it out.”
Naomi’s father looked over to his wife. “That is out of place for you.”
“Well it would have made her more of an outcast if she found out how to use it.” Mrs. Yakiyko smiled. “After all our type of driders are predators of fairies so if they found that magic on her… then she would have been forced out on her own.”
“You never liked fairies.” Mr. Yakiyko shook his head.
Yukiko meanwhile was hiding in Naomi’s womb. She jolted in place as she burst into tears. ‘Sheena no….’ She balled up. ‘If only… if only i never met Naomi…’ She shook her head. ‘No! if only Naomi did not have her own magic!’
“Can I use that to find her?” Naomi asked.
Her mother nodded. “Yes but you’ll need to learn how to track trap magic.”
Naomi nodded, “Alright. But would I be able to look through the forest? It only been a few days.”
Mr. Yakiyko answered, “Yes. However, since it had been a few days, so we do not have any ideas where she went during that time.”since
Looking down, Naomi nodded. “Alright, I see.”
“Naomi.” Her mother called over to her. “I’ll help you can find some tracking magic in the basement magic library. I’ll need to teach you how to track other’s magic and how to use said magic.”
Naomi nods. “Alright mother.” She then gets up. “I’ll take a look through the books.” She says and then heads downstairs to the library.
“She sees herself as neither.” Mr. Yakiyko told his wife. “If she keeps seeing herself as both of our kinds then she might gain a hybrid form.”
His wife perked up at this. “A true hybrid. You never see those.” She paused. “And to think our little girl might become one!” She held a joyful smile.
