Walking down the street, you wonder what had happened that night as you and the others had to clean up the mess that had somehow occurred sometime during the event. You do remember studying the entire afternoon and evening, but nothing seemed to add up, at least without alcohol which you were 100% sure was not present in the group.
Then you remembered a smell wafting over... near the end? You weren't sure because your memory starts to diminish at that point. What you do know was the strange, earthy smell was rather alluring, if not musky. So much so that just thinking about it makes your body and mind shiver and your ears tingle a bit...
"Oh, Jay!"
The calling of your name interrupts your thought and you realize you had unconsciously walked all the way to the college campus. You turn to see that Virginia was the one who had called out to you as she approached you.
"Good morning! I'm glad we were able to get a lot done yesterday," she said with a gentle smile.
"Of course! I had a lot of fun studying, too. Glad you enjoyed it as well," you replied before heading off to your next class.
But before you could take another step, Virginia quickly grabs the sleeve of your shirt to stop you.
"Actually, I wanted to talk to you about last night..." she says.
You panic a bit at her quiet confrontation. Had you done something offensive or embarrassing last night but you didn't remember? Had there really been alcohol? What could possibly be on her mind?
"Do you remember anything from last night?" she asks.
You relax that it was not a hostile confrontation. "I'll be honest, I don't remember much myself. I'm pretty sure we didn't get drunk or anything... ooh, but that smell~" you say, once again becoming allured by the memory of the mystery stench.
"You remember that, too? It's been on my mind as well, along with Mercedes~" she replies, joining you as the two of you relish in the memory together.
The two of you shudder at the earthy feel, unaware that your ears were beginning to stretch into points, though not fully as the smell was not actually there. The tingling also traveled down to their pants, causing slight bumps to appear over their rears. It didn't even occur to either of you that everyone had worn the same clothes as last night.
Eventually, the two of you snap out of the trance, blushing a bit at the behavior they had exhibited. Thankfully, no one else was around that branch of the campus to witness you two.
"I was thinking Jay... I want to figure out what that smell was," she tells you.
"I kinda want to do the same," you agree. "The others might want to as well, let's invite them over after our classes are done. I have a feeling where the smell might have came from." you told her, thinking about you new neighbors as you did.
---
Later that evening, the six of you from yesterday gathered at the front of your house, all of you oddly eager about finding out what the strange smell was, unaware of the slight changes in everyone's ears and noses from the self-reminding of the smell. You and the others decided it was best to change clothes before heading over as the holes in everyone's pants was now known.
Interestingly enough, all of you arrive wearing yoga pants. You claim it was because the rest of your laundry was in the wash and the others say the same stories, none of you realizing the powerful effect the smell left the six of you.
With everyone gathered, you lead them to your neighbor's front door and knock when a familiar smell tickles all of your noses.
