Joanie loved working in the kennel, partly because she always preferred dogs to people. Seeing what a trememdous improvement the new Mitzi was over that pathetic loser Richie made her think of all the people she knew who would be better and happier as dogs. She noticed that Mitzi's American Kennel Club registration had stayed on the internet. Why not change people into purebred dogs, sell them to good owners, and use the revenue to support the kennel? She'd really be doing them a favor.
She downloaded a few dog programs into the remote that had come with the Chronivac, and went on the prowl, looking for people she could get alone and change.
Her first stop was the small office belonging to the kennel. Mrs. Wilson, the secretary who came in three days a week to handle the business correspondence, was always complaining about her life, everything from her worthless husband to her sore feet. Wouldn't she be much happier as a cute little show poodle, being petted and spoiled by her loving owners?
