Chronivac Version 4.0

Chronivac: Infinity

added 4 years ago O Mental Young adult

Jeff came to. He hold his head in his hands, rubbing it. Something had happened. He could feel it. Something was wrong in his mind. He cleared his thoughts, just focusing on being in the moment, "listening" to his mind and body. Then on an intuitive level, beyond words, he sensed what the problem was, and how to correct it. His IQ was far higher than any other human being's had ever been. His mind was adapting, evolving to compensate for the new level of activities it was awakened with. Jeff relaxed, and in a way beyond word and thought, beyond explaining, he simply "felt" his mind and all of his biological systems going into balance, into optimum health. And then he simly felt it happen.

Jeff got back up, and suddenly it was like scales fell from his eyes and he could see. Everything. His mind making new connections, seeing new possibilities, and things started occurring to him that seemed so obvious now, but had never even been drempt of in the realm of his consciousness before. It all seemed so simple now.

Jeff took the Chronivac in his hands, holding it against his forehead. He could feel his mind imbibing the code from the unit's crystal like a guy in a bar downing a drink. In moments, the crystal was gone, and the entire code had become a small part of Jeff's new consciousness. Then he pressed his fingers on the emitter, and felt the tech being absorbed into his body. He could actually see the emitter shrinking away as if it was being eaten by some kind of fact-acting acid. But he wasn't surprised, he was orchestrating it. He was seeing all kinds of things he had never seen before.

He peered into the sleeping Kyle's mind, with the ease of reading a child's picture book. He saw why Kyle wanted him now. He that Kyle wasn't really gay at all - how the broken relationships of his family cominbed with his own misconceptions had left him wanting someone like Jeff so that he could feel complete. Jeff peered into the combined memories and brain biology that was Kyle's thought life, seeing the broken links, and fixing them with ease. All he had to do was think it, and it was so. When Kyle woke up later, he would be complete, no longer desperate to please a surrogate father and mother figure; his biology would be restored to balance, and when the time was right he woudl find a girl, mate, and thus sustain the species. It was so simple yet elegant. Jeff imagined Kyle sleeping soundly in his own home, in his own bed, and a microsecond later, it was reality.

The Chronivac was gone. Now there was Jeff.

His mind restructured and organized. What had been the Chronivac was part of him now, and the possibliities had increased exponentially. Time travel forward or backward, infinite dimensions and realities, reconciliation of all the sciences and religion, the problem and solution of human nature, global warming, cancer, hunger - in fact of all the challenges that humanity faced - where all so clear to him now. In fact, his mind was expanding, going on to new forms of math, art, science, new ways of seeing everything that no human being had ever approached before.

Somoene was outside the house. A second TransDem agent. Jeff yawned, imagining the agent in bed asleep with his wife back home hundreds of miles away, and in the career he used to fantasize about as a child - building robots. And as a gift to him, Jeff left him with a single thought that would lead him to create the world's first sentient robot - but not gone mad like terminators - instead a balanced system that would thrive and co-exist with humanity in peace and mutual advantage.

Jeff reached out to his mother's mind. She was so broken, more than Jeff ever realized. He immediately thought of the best things about her that made him love her dearly, drawing on those, expanding them, healing her memories. When she woke up in the morning, she would be at peace, happy, and armed with a deep security and sense of worth and fulfillment, she could be easily snatched up in the job-market; but her new sense of self-worth would prevent her from working for any sweat shops - she would choose a good company wisely, and both would prosper.

Jeff smiled as more possibilities occurred to him. Today was going to be fun.
