The Magic Shop

At least human?

Jake was overwhelmed by something he had not felt in a long time, senses. As a doll, he couldn't feel the touch of anything or smell anything or taste anything. He couldn't really even hear or see things, he just had a sense around his plastic body of what was going on. But now, he could feel the warm room, smell the fresh air, and taste the type of air freshener their family used. He looked around the pink girls room and wanted to cry tears of joy.

As he looked, he noticed curly red hair fall into frame. He thought it was Lizzy until he remembered she had brown hair, not red. He walked over at a mirror and looked at himself. He was a little girl, maybe around 5? She kind of looked like Jake had when he was still himself, but with a softer, girlier face now. His curly red hair extended past his shoulders and he wore a bright pink dress with a white skirt. Jake didn't even care, as he was happy to be human.

Looking closer at the room, he noticed it was slightly different. Some colors and toys were slightly different, the wardrobe looked different, and any pics of Lizzy in the room were replaced by Jake's new life. Reminded of Lizzy again, he walked over to where she had stood and found a doll laying on top of the camera.

Jake picked the doll up and examined it. It looked as if it were modeled after an adult Lizzy. She had wavy, fiber brown hair, a plastic smile that resembled an older Lizzy, and a figure that had no detail, but resembled an attractive woman's form. She was wearing a single red dress and had a tag on it which read "Lady Lizzy Dolls tm."

Jake knew his change was in no way Lizzy's fault, but he felt anger after spending all those weeks. He took the doll and placed it in the darkest corner of the play chest. Although his voice was high pitched and girly, he tried to sound dark when he said "See how you like it Lady Lizzy." He closed the chest and smiled. He figured Lizzy was unaware of her transformation, thinking she had always been a toy, but at least Jake would feel some comfort knowing that she'd be spending all that time down where he spent those weeks.

A voice broke through Jake's daydreaming as he heard his former brother, who was now his mother, sayin "Lunch time Jane!" from downstairs. Jake realized not only was he changed, but his entire family was as well. He'd have to figure out where to even begin, if he was willing to risk it at all.
