Armored for Battle

added by Alphagor 4 years ago I O Clothes

"Get to cover!" yelled Sasha as she jumped in front of the spell. The energy blast sent an intense, numbing sensation through her body. Somehow she was able to stay on her feet, though she felt weaker for it.

Morgan's expression was more of irritation than anger. "You just had to butt into this," she said, "You're not even one of the O'Tooles. You're not even connected to any of them."

"You're messing with my friend's family," said Sasha, "That's reason enough for me."

"Oh, and I suppose you know how you became Gloria's friend in the first place," sneered Morgan, "Not that it particularly matters right now."

"You might have killed me, but the others aren't going down that easily," said Sasha, worrying that's what the numbing sensation was.

"Kill you? Oh, that would have been too fast, too easy," said Morgan cruelly, "I've got something worse in mind."

Confused, Sasha looked down at her hand. To her great surprise, she saw that it was being covered in metal which was spreading up her arm. Her lower arm looked less like her own arm and more like a gauntlet. "What are you doing to me?" she asked in horror.

"An old spell I used to do to some of Arthur's lesser knights," said Morgan, "Of course, they were already wearing their armor. I always wondered what it do with an unarmored mortal, let alone a woman."

The metal had already covered Sasha's legs, the joints still remaining but other features vanishing. But the true chill was when it started covering her torso. Sasha could feel herself...hollowing. All of her blood, organs, and bones were disappearing as her skin and clothes melted together into metal plating. "Girls, whatever you do, you have to stop Morgan," called Sasha while she still had breath in her lungs, or lungs at all. "If you can't stop her, no one will. I wish I could still help fight her, but it might be up to you..."

At that point, the metal spread up over her face. Her mouth, nose, eyes, and ears could briefly be seen under the chrome surface before they were smoothed out of existence. The front soon reopened as a visor, though there was nothing inside the empty helmet. The only part of Sasha remaining was her hair, but it became stiffer and changed colors until it was a crest of long red feathers. Where Sasha once was now stood a suit of armor befitting a knight. Though the well-endowed breastplate showed the armor was meant for a lady knight.

"Not bad, if I do say so myself," said Morgan, "A bit more roomy than I would have expected."

"You...you killed her," said Mary Elise in shock.

"Weren't you listening?" asked Morgan mockingly, "Your friend is still alive, though she can't speak and she can't move without my command. And nothing makes a better minion than a suit of living armor." Morgan grinned nastily as the armor that was Sasha turned in Mary Elise's direction, metal fists clenching. And one of those armored fingers still wore the Ring of Transformation.
