Young Phil grumbled as he entered the guest room. "Why do I have to clean up in here?" he complained to himself. "It's dusty." The McCoys hadn't used the room in years, but now they'd suddenly decided to clean it and the task fell to their 10-year-old son.
Phil spotted a book laying neatly atop the bed. Picking it up and opening it, he found it was a journal. But it only had one sentence written inside: "I wish I was never adopted."
Phil ignored that and flipped through the blank pages. He could use this for himself. So, after doing his work in the room, he ran back to his and locked the door.
He wondered what to write. Then, seeing the desire written on the first page, he decided to try the same. He also decided to make it a statement of fact.
Phil wrote, "I am 6 feet tall." Then to his shock, a strange feeling overcame him. Like he was growing...
Indeed, he was stretching to a new height of 6 feet. Everything seemed smaller from up here. Phil couldn't believe what had just happened.
As a test, he erased the sentence. He shrank back to his normal height of 4'8".
Phil smirked at his next idea. He wrote, "All of my sisters are now my brothers." Going through his memories, he now recalled his brothers, Sam, Tim, and Henry. Henry was just a toddler, but Sam and Tim were the hottest and most popular boys in their classes, very athletic and good with women. Somehow Phil had not, thus far, taken after them.
Now he wrote, "I am the hottest and most popular boy in 5th grade." Turning to the mirror, he discovered an athletic blond young boy.
