Kellie thought it over. With her helping one of her friends train their uninitiated, they could bring that girl up to speed very quickly. And yet, that doesn't seem fair to the other three girls. It would certainly look like Kellie was playing favorites. And it was best to have her friends to be all on the same level of magic experience.
"You know, when I look at it, perhaps I shouldn't be quite so directly involved with teaching the other girls," said Kellie.
"What do you mean?" asked Katie.
"Well, I think it's best that I oversee all of your training," said Kellie, "I mean, I have training as a sorceress longer than of you have put together. I mean, I'll help out with some lessons or when things get a bit out of control, but you four should be the main ones teaching the others."
"So who's going to be teaching who?" asked Lisa.
Kellie thought it over. It was best for these teacher-student relationships to work as best together as possible if they wanted to make good progress. "Ok, Mary Elise, I want you to work with Mika as you have the least bad blood between you. No offense," said Kellie.
"Yeah, that makes sense," said Mary Elise. While the girls had mostly gotten over their past enmity, there were times were old feelings festered a little. Mika would certainly be easier to work with than her sister. Speaking of whom...
"Lisa, I want you to work with Kumiko," said Kellie.
"Awesome," said Lisa excitedly.
"But I want you two to get some actual work done, not spend all your time hanging out at the mall or something," said Kellie.
"We need to have some time off," protested Lisa, "Kumiko and Mika are so busy with their new jobs." While things were largely settled with the kitsune clan, it was still important to foster good relations, especially if there were individual kitsunes who wouldn't settle for peace. So Mika continued to act as ambassador, often taking on anthro fox form to do so. Kumiko went with her on these trips as well.
"Keeping peace with the kitsunes is important," said Kellie, "We might have rogues to deal with, but I'd rather not have the whole clan against us. And if other dangers arise, we won't want to have to deal with both them and the kitsunes."
"Oh what could possibly-" started Lisa. But then Kellie shot her such a cutting look that it might have sliced Lisa's skin if there was more power behind it. "Ok, I get it," said Lisa in a milder tone, "Business comes before pleasure."
Kellie nodded before turning to Katie. "Ok, Katie, I want you to work with Samantha. Think you can handle it?" she asked.
"If she can make time," said Katie, "Her family's getting ready for some big boating trip. And she's been a bit...spacey lately."
Kellie nodded in understanding. Samantha and Mike had gone with her and Jack to their alternative selves' wedding. Things had been a little awkward at the wedding, not the least because of what happened to the other Claudia. Kellie hadn't told the other girls the extent of the kitsune's attack as she didn't want them to feel that they were next. Though it make the Tozawa sisters' ambassador jobs all the more important. But Samantha in particular seems a little moonstruck, lost in thought of what her own wedding will be like someday.
"I'm sure you'll be able to get Sammy to listen when it's important," said Kellie. She turned to Karen and said, "And as for you, Karen, you'll have to work with Claudia."
Karen sighed and said, "Does it have to be right now? I can still see zebra dong when I close my eyes." Of all of Kellie's friends, Claudia was the one who took the most advantage with their truce with Circe. While Kellie doubted Claudia will be swearing allegiance to Circe, she has been spending a lot of time as an anthro tigress lately. It probably wouldn't be as upsetting to Karen except that Claudia has also been making herself a herm on occasion. She didn't do it full time as Mika was still adjusting to the idea, but often enough that Karen didn't want the image in her head right now.
"I'll tell her to moderate herself when you're doing magic training," said Kellie. At the very least, she'll tell Claudia to not be a herm around Karen. Claudia had become rather attached to being a tiger and Kellie had to admit it was doing her self-esteem a lot of good. She was reminding her more of the other Claudia, who she hoped will be feeling better. Thankfully magical healing can do things that modern medicine couldn't touch.
"Ok, if there aren't any other problems, we'll get started," said Kellie, "I will be checking on everyone to make sure there's progress being made." She had to firm but fair with these girls. They didn't know the dangers as greatly as she did. But Kellie wasn't just going to be about training. She was planning on the girls to go on a retreat with her and Merlin. And with wizards involved, they were definitely not going to be roughing it.
