You find your eyes unaturally attracted to four guys playing basketball. In your old world, it would have been a strange sight, but here seeing a wolf, a horse, a bear and an oversized mouse play a pickup game seems almost normal.
You try to avoid staring at their bodies as you approach. All four notice you at the same time, and in prime toon fashion stop in mid motion, the ball hanging in the air, as their eyes pop out of their skulls. "Wow!" you hear one of them say, though you can't tell which.
Strangly, their attention doesn't completely mortify you. "Excuse me, boys," you ask in a voice more silky than intended, "can you help me find an address?"
The four of them race toward you at the speed of sound, stopping two inches in front of your face. They turn on each other and start fighting in a ball of dust before the horse manages to extricate himself, turn and kick the ball over the horizon. "Can I help you, miss?" he asks in a deep baritone.
Trying to pretend what you just saw was as normal as the sun rising in the morning, you hand him the paper that Lola gave you. "Can you tell me where this is? I think I missed it."
He looks at the paper. "You sure did, this is a bit of a walk," he smiles and turns slightly, "would you care for a pony ride there?"
You feel your breath being taken away, and you're suddenly just how aware this transformation has effected you. You want nothing more than to jump up on this guys shoulders. In fact, the temptation is almost overwhelming!
