...head for the 2nd aisle, marked '100'. One book caught Wally's eye - 163.99, named 'Shapeshifters guide to modification'. He grabbed the book and showed Roger, who agreed that it was a good choice.
They headed for another alcove, and sat at the table. Roger began to read out loud.
"This book covers all facets of body modification. Locking spells are included, as well as reversal spells. Small spells, given at the start of the book, require no training, while larger spells, given toward the end, require both training and enchanted objects to achieve. A small enchanted amulet is included with the book, just strong enough to allow locking spells to work." Roger flipped to the back, and in a pouch was an amulet, an iron chain holding a small lightning bolt symbol, about the size of a peanut. He handed it to Wally, who looked at it carefully as Roger continued.
"If spells are not locked, they will end within half an hour, and may be ended earlier using a reversal spell. Locked spells can be reversed, but require greater power than can be supplied using the included amulet. If reversal of a locked spell is required, seek an alchemist or a magician. - I suppose a professor would do."
"Is there much more?" Wally enquired.
"Just a little, and then the table of contents." He continued. "Spells have been chosen which cannot maim or kill. All spells have safeguards to ensure user is not put at risk from the changes. Spells affect user only. This book is enchanted, and will open to any page requested aloud. Please use spells responsibly."
Roger turned the page, and the table of contents was next. Wally spotted the change he wanted.
