“Geri please show me to the servant quarters at once” commands Arden suddenly, causing Geri to be caught off guard.
“Uh... why sire? Should we not be looking for disguises for your uh... grand plan..?” Asks Geri, worried.
“Why of course. You see I have seen these halls so many times as a Prince, but the eyes of a servant are new and exciting!” Arden proclaims as he awaits Geri’s directions.
Geri was slightly annoyed at the romanticism of Arden’s views on servants. While the pay wasn’t bad as far as jobs went, waiting on the beck and call of monarchs and lords was not exactly an exciting prospect. However.. Geri did have to admit that there was a certain amount of sense in the simplicity of the plan. If the Prince were indeed serious about this whole new perspective thing, disguising himself as a servant would be ideal. Plus as an actual Servant, Geri woild know how to keep Arden out of trouble.
“Right this way sire” says Geri, seeing no real option other than obeying the Prince.
“Excellent! Onwards my friend, onwards to a new adventure!” Comes the typical melodramatic reply of Arden.
The pair make their way through the halls, taking care to avoid attention where possible. Neither particularly wants their plans advertised throughout the Kingdom after all.
Soon they arrived in the currently scarcely populated servants’ quarters. This part of the castle is reasonable big, big enough to actually fit in the variety of servants who are employed by the monarchy. But it’s also very simple and plain compared to what the Prince is use to.
“Uh... so this is where you and your compatriots reside... uh how quaint” comments the Prince, attempting to be polite.
Geri ignkres the culture shock going in and simply closes the main door to this part of the castle. A multitude of rooms and cabins present themselves to the pair. With very few others currently present the odds of being spotted are slim.
“Alright we’re here sire. So what exactly is your plan now” whispers Geri as he continues to look around nervously. He doubts the Prince is even suppose to be here, so he doesn’t want to get caught out.
