As Laura steps out of the bathroom she is surprised to see a bunch of similarly dressed kids her current age entering. She assumes there must be some a field trip or something.
As she tries to make her way through the crowd she finds she's shorter than all of the kids. She forgot she didn't have her growth spurt until much later. With embarrassment, she also recalls how on her first day of kindergarten she was asked by the teacher in front of everyone if she was supposed to be with the preschoolers. Her cheeks flushed red at the memory of the teasing she had got because of that. She's so lost in thought that she doesn't notice a chaperone taking interest in her until she feels a tap on her shoulder. Jumping with surprise, she looks up to see a man her real age looking down at her.
"And where did you get that bag?"
Realizing now by entering the crowd she made herself look like part of the class, Laura knows there isn't any explanation for why she would have any of the things in the shopping bag that would convince the man. She looks down and stammers out the first thing that came to mind.
"Uh, I found it at the empty table over there and was gonna give it to an employee."
She's not sure if she comes across as shy kid or a guilty one but knows either way this explanation won't get her a good result.
"Oh that was thoughtful of you let's go find an employee."
Hesitantly she follows after the man dismissing the desire to bolt as impractical. She quietly moves the dice from the bag to her pocket but is soon forced to turn everything else over to an employee cleaning a table. Now deprived of her belongings, including the digital ticket, Laura tries to figure out what to do now.
