We entered the inn in the brisk of the night. Our wagon is kept hidden in the barnyard with the other horses. The inn is homely and cozy if you could disregard the broken door.
"Come in, come in." An old man who introduced himself as Hershel said.
"We'd like to order a room," Carim said.
"Just a single one? The whole second floor's vacant except for the first."
"Aye, we only want a single one with two beds."
Hershel lead us upstairs and directed us to a room. First, he opened a room on the left with a single bed.
"Sorry, thought this was the room." He lead us to the right which is the proper room with two beds. We laid down our gear and stretched our weary bodies. "There's a meal downstairs if you're hungry. The water's warm and perfect for a bath. If you have any more concerns, you can find me in the lobby.
Hershel left and we heard his footstep walk downstairs.
"You know it too right?" Carim asked. Of course, I knew. We're in a trap and the number of red flags from the barn to our room is keeping my nerves on high alert.
"Should we leave?"
"No, let's play their ploy for a while."
I don't know what Carim's plan is but I trust him with all my guts. And even if I find myself in danger, I have Gren's daggers to protect me. He also has a sword but I don't know how to wield it. There's also Carim with his enchanted sword.
We aren't locked in here. They're locked in here with us.

Wearing armor whilst riding on a wagon could make you tried faster than running for miles. My butt is sore and my shoulders are weary beyond relief. I don't know how to unequip them so I asked Carim to helped me. As expected, he did it with ease. His fingers unlaced the leather strips hanging from my arms and legs. I felt lighter with the weight removed from my body. Although, the muscles of his husk are still way heavier than my previous body.
"Are you alright?" Carim asked. "It's unnerving seeing you with another's face."
The same goes for me as well. My previous face is smooth and has barely any definition. This one is latching onto the opposite. My jawline is defined and the bridge of my nose points straighter than my dagger. My head is Auburn and my eyes gleams green, a strange combination for a simple knight. He's quite handsome for my taste and even better with strong muscles like these. I flexed my arms in the looking glass and did some poses with them.
Carim laughed behind me, "What foolery are you making?"
"Nothing," I said with my cheeks getting flustered.
With all our gears laid and kept, we decided to go downstairs to...
