Connor laughed. "Well, I don't think Connie--sounds a little too fifties housewife. Maybe Marie, after my grandmother."
"That's a beautiful name." Kendall looked into her drink. "You know I'm an only child, right? I grew up without a sister, and when I started going to school I just thought of all the other girls as competition. I see girls being friends, and I just don't get it. They seem to love doing things with their friends, and I just couldn't imagine being with someone like that."
"I'm sorry." said Connor.
"You decided to stop being the person you were, and start over. I'm tired of being the person I am as well. Connor, Marie, will you be my sister?"
