Chad, after tirelessly ramming the walls, broke through to the center of the maze. Like a celestial oasis, a bright light glowed from the ceiling, shining down upon a radiant garden. The blooming flowers shone brightly against the radiant light, and the grass glowed with a heavenly aura. But Chad couldn't see it since he was now colourblind. There was a sense of calm, although brief, it eased the tension that dwelled inside Chad.
"Is this... the center?" Chad spoke to himself. He didn't realize until now that the lower half of his body had transformed into the legs of a bull. Although they were his hind legs, he was still able to walk normally as if he had been walking on them this entire time.
Chad's hooved feet touched the grass and the ground was soft. With each step that he took, the ground softly thudded, in comparison to the hard stone flooring of the maze.
Chad turned his head to the right and noticed that there were 2 crowns of flowers standing calmly in the radiant light. Chad knew the flowers were different colors, but that was because he could see the difference in shade. Without the shade, it would all look like the same grey.
To his left, there were two couches pinned next to each other. In front was a round coffee table with a glass ball standing idly on its podium. sat on the couches, concealed in the darkness, was Karen and a man that Chad had never seen before. Chad snorted and a visible cloud of hot air steamed out his nostrils, causing his nose ring piercing to flick a little.
"Well, look who made it through" Karen slowly walked up to Chad with a devilish smile on her face. "Since you made it to the center so quickly, I didn't get enough time to enjoy myself. So I have another proposal to make. You cannot refuse this of course, but you can make your own free choice."
Chad's rage built up inside of him. He was about to tear the woman in front of him to pieces, and he would probably change back to human. But, in fear of becoming a Barbeque, he suppressed his emotions as best he could before Karen spoke again.
"You can either: stay as you are but be free to leave and have free roam, or you can take a gamble and have a chance to become human again but with the chance of you becoming a beefy, hunky, inanimate bull for us to devour instead. So what will it be?" Karen offered, a falsely innocent smile plastered on her face.
Chad had to think hard. Did he want to stay as a monster but still be free, or did he want to try and gamble his life for a chance to become fully human?
Chad opened his mouth ready to make a decision...
"I will... "
