The President had just spent gruelling three hours listening to
various experts tell her what the health,economic and social
effects of the virus would be for the next three years.
Basically it boiled down to 250 million infections world wide
.a rosy estimate of six million fatalities,50 million permanently of life support for the rest of their shortened lives.
The global economy was going to slip into a depression for the
next half decade and crime would increase as peoples
fought for any means of survival there was,including High Seas
Piracy as various nations licenced privateering to seize
ships from enemy nations who hadn't shared their hoarded
medical equipment and medicines.
So the President was on her third stiff drink from the bottle of
sherry she kept in the third drawer when the scientists and
investigators from Area 51 and the Roxwell Think Tank arrived
to present their latest findings on a other matter then the virus.
After three hours of being told the World was about to End
the President was hoping the tin hat crowd,as she normally
viewed them,had lighter material to cheer her up.
So President Thorfinsson quickly hid the bottle of sherry
in that 3rd drawer and buzzed her secretary to let the tin hats
to come in.
By now the President had gotten used to the Area 51 crowd
in their lab coats,but the five magical robe dressed women and
men from the Roxwell Think Tank briefly caused the Presidents
mouth to stay agape for about a half minute before she told
the assembled tin hatters to brief her on the latest developments.
It began with the Area 51 scientists reciewing old matters.
As this President and earlier Presidents had been told,Area 51
contained not a 'flying saucer' or even a crahed weather balloon
but something the scientists called a
"faster then light starship from another Dimension"
that when it had been found at Roswell had been inert,with a
crew of mummified alien crew that the scientists had said
were pretty similar to the dragons of Earth myths except for one
crucial difference,these mummified alien dragons
were no longer then nine feet long from their snout down to their tail barb and stood no taller then 2 feet at their
shoulders.
However since these alien scalies long long ago had possessed
faster then light speed space craft the scientists most assuredly
had taken a keen interest in researching the heavens and the
Earths for their kind.
Now the President had heard all this before and knew
what the problem had been in the past.
The inert alien ship refused to stop being inert,presumably
because its alien dragon computer would only accept
commands from a alien dragon crew member,not a
easy task prior to the 1950s,since humans weren't alien dragons.
With more recent advances in genetics however the scientists
of Area 51 had tried to rectify the problem by rewriting the dna
of voluntary and not so voluntary human test subjects by
injecting them with the alien dna of the mummified original crew.
They hadn't actually succeeded in turning anyone into a
alien dragon yet,but the UFO circles were now rife
with stories of sightings of
alligator people
reptilian men
cobra headed women
who were the result of those supposedly top secret
Area 51 experiments.
So after the tin hatters from Area 51 had reviewed
past failures the magic robe wearing crowd from
the Roxwell Think Tank dropped the bombshell
Their investigators had recently sarted tracking a
anomaly that had shown up,a small two foot tall
dragon named Sheena who seemed friendly with children
who met her in a mid west forested area called the
Lindworm Woods.
Basically Sheena was a alien dragon,just what the tin hatters
needed to properly transform their human test subjects
into proper alien dragons.
The tin hatters wanted the President to give them the
resources they would need to capture this 'Sheena'....
