After Wilma got back to the table, the food arrived. Soon, she and Abby were done, and the two got up to go pay at the counter. Without realizing it, she left her phone laying on the table.
This was noticed by Logan, the waiter bussing the next table over. He grabbed it, thinking to return it to her. Wilma was a pretty and popular senior girl at the high school where Logan was a plain, quiet sophomore. He hoped this might win her attention.
He was mystified when he saw the app that opened on the phone. There was a sentence that appeared after he accidentally hit Generate: "A confused young waiter is examining the phone he found."
Logan wondered what would happen if he changed something. Could he even do that? He replaced "confused" with "sexy" and hit Enter.
Logan turned to look in the mirror that hung on one wall. But he didn't see himself. Instead, he saw a gorgeous young man in a waiter's uniform, with glossy and stylish black hair, tanned skin, chiseled features, bright green eyes, and some light black stubble on his face. The guy was also clearly ripped even under the uniform, as his chest stuck out and his sleeves looked tight.
Logan looked around but couldn't see the guy. Then he looked down at himself and realized: That was him! He grabbed his now bulging chest, then his thick arms, then rubbed his hands over his perfect face. He couldn't believe it!
He saw a new sentence on the phone: "This high school sophomore can't believe that he is now a total hunk." Logan replaced "high school" with "college" and hit Enter. When he looked in the mirror, his teenage features had matured into manly perfection and his muscles seemed bigger.
Another new sentence: "This handsome man is a waiter here at this restaurant." Logan smiled and changed "waiter" to "patron" and hit Enter. His uniform disappeared, replaced by khaki shorts and a tight red-and-white striped polo, with a button or two undone.
Logan saw Wilma about to leave with Abby. He made his way toward them, calling out, "Miss? Is this your phone?"
Wilma turned and saw the most gorgeous man she'd ever seen moving toward her. Her breath caught. Then she saw the phone. "Um...yes, yes that's mine," she stammered out.
Logan turned on his newfound charm. "I'm Logan. I come here a lot. I go to Edison University across town. What's your name?"
"I'm Wilma," she said, blushing. "This is my sister Abby."
Logan leaned down to Abby. "And she's just as pretty as her sister," he said with a grin. Abby retreated behind Wilma but with a shy smile.
Logan stood up. He said, "I'm free on Saturday night if you want to do something together."
Wilma tried not to look too excited. "Sure that sounds great!" she said.
"Ok then, I'll pick you up at 5?" Logan said.
"Ok."
They exchanged numbers and addresses, and then parted ways. As soon as Logan sat down, he downloaded the app onto his phone. Maybe there were other changes he could make.
