While Laura is trying to think of how to get out without being seen, there is a loud ruckus near the front of the restaurant. All heads turn to look at the fight breaking out between an employee and a customer. The employee that had taken Laura’s items rushes over to break up the fight. Laura quickly grabs her stuff and sneaks out through a side door while everyone is distracted.
She lets out a sigh of relief and sets off for the train station. Luckily, she knows exactly where it is and can get there quickly. As she toddles along, she gets a few odd glances, but no one steps in to stop her.
The walk takes longer than she expected, since her legs are so little now. She gets to the station with about fifteen minutes before she needs to board. Laura wanders around until she spots the specific train she will be taking, and then sits on the ground. As she sits down, her diaper presses against her, and Laura realizes that at some point during her walk, she wet herself. She blushes fiercely at this realization, but can’t do anything about it, since she doesn’t have any spare diapers.
The train begins to board. Laura stands up and toddles over, only to second-guess her plan. Her ticket is for an unaccompanied minor, but an unaccompanied toddler in a wet diaper is very different from an unaccompanied middle schooler or even kindergartener. She might not be allowed to board.
