When I turned the device to face me to see if anything else would show up, I had accidentally pressed my thumb on the trigger. All the sudden, a light beam hit my face. “Ugh! To bright!” I shielded my eyes dropping the device in the dirt. “What the heck? I thought this only scanned things!” I said rubbing my eyes and opening them to look at the device.
I was scared of what may have happened as there was no telling what had happened when that beam fired. I thought I would have died. Luckily, I wasn’t. But my heart rate accelerated about 50 more beats. All the sudden, I could see my nose in front of me. “Huh? When did my nose get soh lung” I started to struggle speaking for some reason, and I got worried. I ran to the window to look at my reflection to see not only my nose was growing, but my mouth with it. “Wait! What’s happhining heer?” I continued to struggle getting words out when I saw my nose was actually flattening into my face. My nostrils were all that were left to my nose, flaring on each side. My upper lips now merged with my nostrils, and my lower lip extended, flaring into a pointed shape. The pointed tip of my face started turning hard and yellow as it spread up to my face.
I looked down at my extended face, and back to the reflection in the window. I had a beak now. “No way... what... how...” I started to stutter, but I was thankful I could speak properly now, if at all. Then I realized what might be the cause. I picked up the device to see the phrase ‘morph complete’ to see the model of the bird with the beak highlighted. “You gotta be kidding... this thing actually changed me?” I tried messing around with my beak, like flapping it open and closed, sticking my tongue out, and even making expressions. I found out their beaks are a lot more flexible than I imagined. “Heh... this is kinda cool.” I said smiling though my beak.
