Going passed the fountain, Corbin discovered a statue which had previously been obstructed from his view. The statue was made of a black granite similar to the fountain, however this one looked alot cleaner. Like it had been polished recently. The figure of stone was one shrouded in a robe, his face hidden in the fabric. The only thing resembling a living being was two skeletal arms, outstretched forwards in a beckoning manor. At the end of these arms were slender hands, with three claws instead of fingers. Whatever this statue was of, it wasn't a human...most likely another monster of this game.
Corbin went through a few theories, perhaps this was the owner of whatever mansion he had discovered. This thought lingered in his head for a second however he quickly dismissed it. Why would someone sculpt themselves into such a slender and hideous shape, even further why would they hide themselves in robes. It was more of an omen, Corbin thought, a warning to any lucky visitor.
Corbin looked back at the blood fountain, surely that was warning enough.
Fear settled onto Corbin, it made his stomach curl. But he knew there was no retreating especially with the test he had just been through. Corbin made his way around the statue and found another door, this one was more grand than the other two. Its pattern mirrored the gothic design of the walls around it. The only thing of note about the door was the lavish door handle, it was wood unlike the rest of the design and looked newer. Someone had to be here, why would they go to all the trouble to fix the doors if they didn't.
Thus Corbin advanced towards the overarching doors and opened them.
