Marigold looked relieved as if she had feared Isaac would reject, and she opened her mouth to reply only to be shoved aside by the first fairy. The pink one seemed to have regained her good spirits all of a sudden, attesting to a fairy's characteristic short attention span. "Ah, good! Now we can get things done around here!"
Before Isaac could react, the fairy waved a hand, causing a glow to appear around the human.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Isaac exclaimed as she felt herself shrinking rapidly along with her sparse clothing. Before long, she was tiny, about the same size as the fairies. Then, wings sprouted from her back, lifting her up into the air even as a pale green glow settled around her. With a few more tweaks, a sharpening of her ears, a slight slanting of her now larger eyes, and a change of hair color to a shade of pale green to match her glow, she had fully transformed into a fairy.
"What have you done to me!?" She cried, overwhelmed with confusion and more than a little anger.
Unperturbed, the pink fairy nodded with satisfaction. "There. Now you can fit through this hole."
"I'm a fairy!" Isaac said, still a few mental steps behind in her shock.
"No time!" The pink fairy yelled. "Come on! The mummies have detected our magic!"
Sure enough, with a rumble, the other sarcophagi started to open again. Forcing herself into motion, Isaac flew up to the hole, instinctively knowing how to use her wings as if she had been born with them. With a bit of wriggling, she managed to squeeze through.
Soon, she emerged to hover alongside her rescuers. The other fairies grabbed her hands, and the three of them zipped back out the entrance into the wide world outside.
