Chronivac Version 4.0

Turn Leon into a full fox as Jakeīs pet

Jake decided he didnīt want others to know about the program and its power, not even Leon. It wasnīt that he didnīt trust him, Leon was really trustworthy, and Jake was sure if he was not, he could make him with the chronivac. He just wasn't ready to share it with anyone, let alone his roommate who had the easiest access to it beside himself. Hadnīt he already used it without asking? What if he had known about the altering of reality before and changed something for Jake, something he would never realize then?
Leon's ears noticed the sound of Jake typing on the laptop. He turned towards Jake and asked: "Making some more changes to yourself?"

"Not to myself, no," replied Jake without turning.

"What is it then you write in there?”

Jake glared at Leon. "I decided this device will be my little secret for now. That's why I have to get you out of the picture, at least for some time."

Leon flattened his ears and looked pleadingly at Jake. "You wouldn't... I mean, we're best friends, right? ... You don't want to kill me, donīt you?"

"No, Leon, I'm not going to kill you. I like the way you are as my friend, so don't be silly! I'm only taking what's left of your humanity away for some time."

Leon didn't like the sound of that last part. "Look, Jake, I'm sorry I started snooping around on your computer. I promise I won't tell anything or use it without you around. No one needs to know..."

"No worries, buddy, you've really are a wonderful roommate, and I'm sure you'll be a wonderful fox after the changes. You've started it yourself; I will just finish it for you. And it's not like you'll remember your human life anyway, at least as long as I didnīt turn you back. See, I already made a back-up of your data."

"Jake, no please! I donīt want to be a full animal." Leon's tail started thrashing as Jake went to click on the save button. “It is too late!” shot through Leonīs head, as a tingle ran down his spine, reaching into every corner of his body. Black fur started to grow out of his arms and legs, cream colored fur sprouts out of his stomach and up to the front of his neck, while the rest was covered in orange fur.
Leon started to panic as it sunk in that soon he would be just a wild fox. “Please, Jake, stop it. Come on, we will find another way for this. Isnīt… isnīt there a way to just let me forget the program?”
His finger thickened up and black pads puffed up underneath them. The same happened to his feet, deforming them into hind-paws, completely with thick, pointed nails, he was growing claws on all his paws. With a yelp he tilted forwards, catching himself with his fore-paws before he could face-plant in front of Jake.
Jake didn't bother speaking to Leon anymore beside one small sentence, as there was no point trying to converse with a dumb animal, or someone who was going to be one in a few seconds anyway. “Donīt worry, I will keep my little pet fox save.”
An orange and white muzzle with black whiskers on both sides and a black fox-nose grew outwards from his face. “I… will be your pet? Please, Jake, no. Donīt let me lose everything. Ple… yip yip” there goes his human voice. He had shrunken smaller the whole time as well, so his last sentence had sounded rather high pitched. Now the shrinking stopped, leaving Leon as big as a big house cat.
The last change to happen was his mind, as he slowly got trouble thinking, too. He felt like a heavy fog had entered his head and was now covering everything. Memories of being a human, feelings for his family, his friends and his classmates, everything that made him himself, was vanishing faster and faster.
Leon started sniffing his surroundings as the last of it vanished, leaving only an emptiness behind. Which was then slowly filled with new instincts and new memories. He gained a sort of attachment to a certain human, and his nose recognized the smell on the being sitting before him. “Master” went thought the small foxes head. That was the one who cared for his needs, who feed him.
So now there was a complete, but not wild, fox in the room, and Jake had set the chronivac to alter reality. Leon had always been a fox, never a human, and lived with him for a couple of years. Because of his shy pet and his own extra needs, he was living alone in his dorm. “Another advantage of the whole situation, thanks Leon” he said while he petted his small friend. And while the fox didnīt understand what Jake said, he liked being petted.
