Though confused by what she just saw, Jamie returned to the task at hand. With the mirror in place, Jamie went to work on her furniture, setting up bookshelves, drawers and tables. Hours passed and by the time Jamie was putting the finishing touches on her nightstand, she had long since forgotten the incident with the mirror. Her bedroom was near completion, with only some pictures, high school memorabilia and clothes needing attention. Looking out the window, the young woman was shocked to discover the sun beginning its daily descent.
“Damn...where did the time go?” she asked herself.
Heading out to the kitchen, she grabbed a bottle of water and chugged down. Sweat was beading down all over and she was yearning for a break.
A nice cold bath perhaps?
Why not? Rushing to the bathroom she started the water before grabbing a random set of clothes she had hanging over one of the chairs. Discarding her sweaty attire, she turned the TV on in the living room, cranked the volume up, and set it to YouTube. Dipping herself slowly into the water’s cooling embrace, Jamie took a moment to make herself comfortable, and once she was, she went for her phone. No new texts much to her surprise, usually the thing would be pinging like mad right about now.
How unexpected she mused.
Putting it aside, Jamie began to doze off, the water’s comfort easing her exhaustion. The last thing she could remember was hearing Bonnie Tyler’s Holding Out for a Hero blaring in the living room...

Covering her ears, she growled. “What the fuck is that?!” It was this loud obnoxious rock number, seemingly from someone who couldn’t even speak English! Grabbing her towel, she hastily jumped out of the tub but as she stared down to dry herself, her blood suddenly turned cold.
“What...” she whispered meekly.
Her once tan skin was now a paler parlor while her legs were now thick and meaty. Rushing to the mirror, she suddenly found herself screaming.
She saw them, sprouting like newborn seeds, reddened bumps forming all over her once clear face. Jamie was aghast. “HOW IS THIS HAPPENING?!?!” She cried out. It was then she made a most unnerving discovery...
Her vision was beginning to blur.
“No...” She sobbed. “Please no... no...no”
But yes, in less than a minute, Jamie’s whole field of vision was a blurry, incomprehensible mess. Seemingly on instinct, she reached for the back of the toilet and quickly put on her glasses. It was like turning on a light! Suddenly her vision was just as great as it was before! Jamie however was anything but pleased. Staring into the bathroom mirror, the realization finally sank in. That nerd she saw earlier in her bedroom mirror?
She was becoming her...
