"Nothing major," I said, as if to the book, "Just to see if you're for real."
For a moment, nothing happened, and I began to slump in my chair. I was about to close the book when a familiar glimmer appeared in the words I had written. Slowly, the phrase I'd crossed out faded from the page, and my own handwritten one drifted down to replace it, slowly changing until it matched the font of the rest of the text.
That's when I felt it.
