"Yeah and worse," Gloria stated. "Lizzy could be affected too."
"Affected by what?" Lizzy's voice said. Gloria spun around in the chair. Lizzy was standing there...but she'd aged...The awkward 5 year old had matched Gloria...as a less awkward pre-teen...she was actually quite pretty, in a girl next door sort of way.
"Lizzy, are you all right?" Gloria said.
"I thought we were going to watch TV," she said. "What do you mean, all right?"
"Umm...nothing. Nothing's wrong, right?" She tested.
"With me, no...with you...you are acting weird."
"How long have we been friends now?" Gloria asked.
"Since we were five." At least that was true. Of course, five was an hour ago.
"I'm sorry you got caught up in this, Lizzy," Gloria said.
"You mean, babysitting your sister? It's fine..."
Gloria whirled around.
