It was time, Taylor thought. Darla and Janice were happily chatting away about estrogen, Maggie was trying on a silk dress, it was time. She created a frozen-time bubble where two people could have a conversation while no time passed in the outside world. The two people were Taylor and Dana.
Dana was terrified, frozen with fear. She knew what Taylor could do. She had seen the pigeon, and unlike everyone else except Taylor and Maggie she remembered seeing the transformation. "M,m,my lady?"
Taylor rolled her eyes. "So you know who I am, or you think you do. Don't call me my lady. I'm not a goddess, although right now I do have the powers of one. I don't want to be worshipped. But clearly the actual goddess let you establish your little cult for a reason, so I'm not going to destroy it or turn the lot of you into a herd of llamas, although I am sorely tempted." Actually, Dana would make a pretty llama, Taylor thought. But no.
"Who's the head of your operation?"
"Cl-clarice, My-uh, Clarice."
"Tell Clarice I want to meet with her. Just her, not your whole group. Not today. Today we're going to have a good time at the mall with my sister and my friends. But tomorrow we're going to get this straightened out. Cause I don't think its a coincidence the old friend Gabriel called was mixed up with this group. I mean, what are the odds? Someone planned this, and it wasn't me. Now, why don't you pick out a nice outfit?"
Suddenly time was moving normally again.
