Gabriel, lying in bed as Dana got cleaned up in the shower, read through the newest scientific breakthrough’s comment section, where one can see many conspiracists and anti-science nutjobs in the wild, only seeing that the number of those people are dropping rapidly and even some big names are finally getting their heads out of their asses, “She does work fast.”
“Of course, she does,” Dana’s voice drifts from the bathroom, “With powers like hers…it’s just a matter of willing it, I guess.”
“Still kind of crazy when you think about it. Just changing things because she wants them to change in such a way.”
“Are you complaining about that? Your brother was out of this solar system with joy when the news broke.”
“You’re not wrong,” Gabriel agrees, “He definitely had the zoomies when he learned that. But now he’s worrying about ‘the right way’ to propose.”
“Well,” Dana, wearing only a towel, finally exits the bathroom, “Unless it’s everything the other hates, there isn’t a wrong way to propose?”
“Tell that to Mr. ‘You have to be perfect because you are the oldest’.”
“Oh…”
“He’s getting better about some of those habits, but sometimes… yeah…”
“Maybe Taylor could do something…”
Gabriel shook his head, “Nah, this is one battle he needs to win. He needs to realize that this is the truth and it won’t change, unless it’s for the better.”
“Well, best advice: be there for him.”
“Oh, I will. He asked me to come and help him look at some rings. He wants them to be special, but in the price range we can afford, so, we’ll need to get creative.”
“Or ask Taylor for a discount,” At Gabriel’s look Dana raised her hands in defense, “Just a suggestion. Gotta keep an open mind when it comes to this stuff…wait…” Dana snapped her fingers, “That’s right…diamond prices are artificially inflated, maybe lowering the prices on capitalism products should be the next move!”
Gabriel nodded, seeing that Dana was already writing the next thing down on that trick notepad full of ideas, and then remembered something, “By the way, why did you react so weirdly to my hair yesterday?”
Dana blinked at him before recognition lit up her eyes, “Oh, turns out Maggie wanted to be a blonde, so Taylor rearranged your family’s genetics, so your hair is a blond-brown now instead of the old brown.”
“Wait, what?!”
