This was the exchange between Julie Rosengarten and her 7 year old cousin Tom Rosengarten
Julie is a seventeen year old that will attend university in the fall. She was on summer break from school and was tasked with watching her "angel" of a cousin Tom while her parents and their sibling and in laws were on vacation attending some week long hippie music festival in Florida. Normally Julie would try to avoid Tom's annoying ass any day, but, Julie was being offered a new car in exchange for watching Tom. She thought that this would be a far trade off. She was way in over her head. Tom was just a nightmare of kid... he just liked fucking with people's day. Julie felt bad for her aunt Gwen and Uncle Phillip as they had to raise this demon child. Hell she felt bad for anyone that even met him once.
Julie was taking some general education classes online in order to avoid them in the fall. She really hated these classes as she thought why do I need sociology, history, and art history/appreciation to be a math major? She was taking notes on the Persian Empire for her history class when Tom decided to throw mustard at her computer screen. Julie was just minding her own business what the hell. Then exchange listed earlier happened.
Julie retreated to the only place in the whole house that she knew Tom was too afraid to go into the attic. It was stuffy and the wi-fi wasn't the best but she will take it. Aunt Gwen and Uncle Phillip's house belonged to their great grandmother Sarah Rosengarten. She was a bit a weird woman believing in fairies, magic, witchcraft, potions, demon princes, wands, warlocks. She acquired a rather large collection of "magical and cursed" items throughout her life. The rest of the family wrote these as random trinkets but did not get rid of them as they did want to break the kind ladies heart and her descendants kept them as funny family heirlooms. They were in a series of three boxes in the attic with tons of dust collected over them.
Julie's brain was going to burst from all these useless classes she needed to have some fun. During her study break, Julie wanted to explore the contents of the boxes left by great great grandmother Sarah. Not because she believed in magic but because she wanted to learn more about an important family figure. She wiped the dust off the boxes and almost choked on it.
