As if on cue, the cat-girl began to stretch her limbs and yawn. After a moment she looked at her friends with glassy eyes. "Did...did I fall asleep?"
"Yeah, but don't feel bad," Tom said. "The game made you do it."
"It's also your turn," Sue said, anxious to get Hannah off of her annoyingly long hair.
Hannah moved back between Dave and Tom and rolled the dice. 7. She passed Sue and landed on a card square.
Forward and backward, your name is the same.
You body's not like that, which is quite a shame.
"What does taht neam?" Hannah asked.
"What did you say?" Dave responded.
"'Naem taht seod tahw' dias I." Hannah brought a paw to her mouth, surprising herself with the strange dialect. Even more surprising was the sight of her paw curling over and her arms reshaping to face the opposite direction. Her forepaws elongated somewhat, now resembling her hind paws. Just the opposite was happening to her legs, as they had also turned and now looked like her forepaws.
"She's literally backwards!" Tom shouted. Hannah was having a bit of difficulty sitting comfortably on her newly-inverted arms, while her legs had dropped the card and were being held awkwardly in the air.
"Driew yrev sleef siht," she whined.
"She's even speaking backwards," Sue said. "This game is just twisted."
"And Hannah will be permanently twisted, unless we finish this." Tom trotted over to the dice and grunted as he tried to lift them. He could only pick up one at a time in his tiny form. He was about to toss the first one when a knock on the front door caught everyone's attention.
"Oh jeez, what now?" Dave grunted.
