Unpacking their things, the girls took a much deserved seat on their beds. Their cabin, it seemed, was not intended for campers. It featured a full kitchen, adult sized beds and various amenities one might need if they were to spend the summer working at camp. It was old, however. Clearly the camp had seen better days and the muted colors of the room and ever present dust spoke loudly to its aparent need to finance its operations with desperate programs such as this 'adults weekend'
"Huh, must be the councilors cabin" Jackie said as she surveyed the room. "Too bad its not in better shape, but at least we'll have full sized beds.
"Yea, I think we lucked out...how much you wanna bet the boys are in some kiddy cabin?" Sarah replied with a smirk, thrilled with the idea of the boy's misfortune.
"Oh they DEFINITELY got a kiddy cabin." Jackie agreed.
Having driven for hours the two decided that the evening would be best spent in doors, tomorrow they could venture out and reunite with the boys for some fun.
For the next few hours, the two just sat, relaxed and chatted, enjoying time away from the boys and a chance to catch up. Without realizing it, the hours grew late and night passed into morning.
Hours later , Jackie glanced at the clock and noticed it was 2:59am.
"Wow I didn't realize how late it was! Its already tomorrow. I think we best get ready for bed now." she said to Sarah as she stood and screeched.
Then the clock hit 3:00 am and at that moment, the world seemed to flip a 360 and a blinding flash briefly stunned both Jackie and Sarah.
