While Mia and the others talked with the Harris family, Ann decided to do some exploring.
It had been far too long since the teen had visited this timeline, looking around she couldnt help but feel a bit of nostalgia. This timeline was exactly like the one she had fled years ago. The teen paused, sighing heavily. It may look like hers but rhat wasn't the case. Ann's timeline had been destroyed, her family, her friends, killed by a timeline conquering titan. Now only she remained.
Shaking the thoughts from her head Ann pressed on, she wanted to know how the dopplegangers of this timeline were doing. Spotting her sisters home, Ann smiled as she slowly made her way towards the front door. Peaking inside the teen was surprised by what she saw.
It appeared her sister Katie was babysitting at the moment. The 26 year old woman could be seen talking on her cellphone as a group of 4 year olds played happily. Ann immediately recognized the group of preschoolers, it was Lynne, Tricia, Morgan, and Kari. "Guess Katie got stuck watching the kids afterschool," she muttered.
As she watched she was surprised by what happened. Morgan and Kari were playing when Lynne ran over, tagging the young Asian girl. Kari giggled, the toddler transforming into a kitsune kit and giving chase. Lynne gasped as the kitsune child vanished before appearing beside her and tagging her back. "Hey no fair," Lynne whined. "We cant use powers when we play tag."
The kitsune child giggled, sprinting back to her friend as Lynne gave chase. Ann watched as the Auburn haired preschooler now cast a spell, wrapping the kitsune in a mystical jump rope. Kari now struggled in place, calling out for Morgan.
Now it was Morgan and Tricias turn to act. The young sorceress now cast a spell, freeing her friend as Tricia grew a small set of dragon wings swooping down next to Lynne. Ann now watched as the four girls now began giggling, launching harmless spells at one another as they began to sprint around the living room.
"Holy crap I didnt know these kids had that much power," Ann whisperer. Thankfully Katie now noticed waving her hands and telling the girls to stop. The four preschoolers groaned, Katie having effectively neutralized their powers for the moment as the four girls now fell in line. Ann now watched as Katie smiled warmly at them, saying if they wanted lessons they would have to behave while she was on the phone. Amazingly the girls agreed, once more going back to playing.
Ann stepped back, still shocked at the amount of magic displayed by this group of preschoolers. What was even more impressive was Katie effectively negating the children's magic with a flick of her wrist. As she tentatively now knocked she wondered if perhaps Katie would give her lessons as well.
