If this book was truly what it said, I could want to know about myself and have read about myself. I thought about myself, silently saying those words, and turned a page.
I saw text appear. What appeared looked like a factsheet about myself. I saw my name, my age, and many more details. I had to ask if I wanted more details, which was written at the bottom of the page.
I hesitated, what would I want to change about myself? I was not short, but also not tall. I was rather skinny, I did not gain weight and did not work out.
I looked at my name, wanting to test the changing capabilities of this book. I changed Jason Gray to Jacob White.
Suddenly, my handwriting became black and similar to the typeface of the book. And finally, Jacob White replaced Jason Gray.
After that, I felt dizzy for a little moment. After my dizziness, I could remember that my name was Jacob White, but also that formerly it was Jason Gray.
I checked my ID, Jacob White was written, I looked at my different accounts on social media and the same had happened there. A final check was my phone conversations with my family. The family name not only changed but I was always addressed with Jacob instead of Jason.
This book was really reality-changing. So much even that I preferred being called Jacob to Jason. Should I not like it anymore, I could always change it, as I had this book.
Now that I tested it, I had many ideas of what to change next...
