Sarah was your typical college graduate. She didn't know where to go, or what to do. Liberal arts degrees didn't get you very far if you wanted to do anything other than teach liberal arts. But what if she had decided to do something else? Go into STEM or try politics, even give art school a shot. But to her these are things that needed to be started early. Not her parents fault, they always supported her. But there was never any focus on a specific subject.
College was a bit of a let down. She spent most of her time working and studying. A hard balance to keep for anyone. Classes were boring with over 100 people in the lecture halls. One day Sarah even came to class in nothing but a snuggie, just to push it. Despite the lack of connection with anyone on campus she did enjoy her day job. Working at the magic shop. Her boss decided that for her graduation she would get to pick one item from the shop. One piece had caught her eyes every day. A small smooth stone, like an opal. She grabbed it and walked out for her last day.
Every magic object came in a box with a small note, describing the way the rock works. "This is a wish stone. With it you may gain anything you wish, by speaking the words. I wish upon the stone for... Then say what you want. However each wish has a cost." Sarah immediately knew what to wish for. Cold hard cash money. Say an unlimited debit card. A glow starts.
