One of these questions would soon be answered as you start to feel a little funny yourself.
The first thing you notice is that whilst you're looking at the new ponies, they seem to be growing more and more in size. Whilst you were towering over them a few seconds ago, you are now completely eye level with them. This makes you fear that you might be turning into a pony yourself, but the VCR seems to have other plans for you.
As soon as you're level with the ponies, other changes start taking hold over you. Your hair starts turning blonde and begins obstructing your vision which makes it a lot more difficult to see the surprised and confused faces of all the ponies currently looking at you. Whilst your vision is obstructed by the hair on your head, the rest of the hair on your body disappears completely, leaving you as smooth as you were before hitting puberty.
You rub the newly grown blonde locks away from your eyes and notice that not only you've indeed shrunk, your clothes are now way too loose on you. This doesn't last long though as they start rearranging themselves to fit your tiny form and new role. Your sweater and pants turn into some kind of pink dress, you shoes turned in some weird looking sandals and your socks climb up your legs to cover them in white leggings. Your T-shirt kinda stays the same, but shrinks with the rest of the clothing to fit you perfectly underneath the dress.
Dreading what you just saw, you run over to a brightly coloured pond to stare in it just in time to see your face getting younger and those loose blonde locks forming into two ponytails tied together with nice pink ribbons. The face staring back at you now is clearly that of the 6 year old girl that you recall seeing on the cassette cover when you bought it. That means that not only are you now younger than your sister and her friends were, you're now clearly Martha, the sole human sidekick to all of the pony adventures.
As you keep staring totally stunned into the pond, a voice suddenly starts speaking.
