You followed your driver to the door, twitching a little nervously despite yourself with all the revelations you'd just had dropped on you running through your head as you wondered just what sort of people your new housemates might be. When you got to the door, it opened suddenly and you couldn't help but stare as you found yourself face-to-face with a stunning goth beauty with pale white skin and long black hair, wearing an elegant black dress. She looked you up and down and nodded to the driver. "This our newbie?" she asked; the driver nodded. "Well, all right then," the goth said, then turned and looked over her shoulder. "Hey, ladies, come in here, our new housemate is here!"
"I'll go help the movers unpack, then," your driver said, then added "good luck!" with a jaunty wave. The goth rolled her eyes and motioned for you to follow her into a tastefully-decorated living room where three other women already waited, having apparently heard her yell. One was a short, nerdy-looking young woman in a white shirt and dark skirt; she wore glasses and had shoulder-length brown hair and she smiled when she saw you. The second was tall and athletic; she had short red hair and wore shorts and a tank top and looked like she'd just come back from the gym or a run, and from the look on her face she didn't seem to think you were all that impressive. The last was a stunning blonde in a sleek dress who eyed you up speculatively.
"Well, you're the new one here, so you get to start," the goth said. When you didn't respond, she rolled her eyes again. "I mean introduce yourself."
"Oh, right," you said. "Hi, uh, I'm Brian, and I just got transferred here, and it's all still a little overwhelming."
"Trust me, it always is," the goth said. "Well, I guess it's my turn, then. I'm Phoebe."
"Maddie," said the nerd.
"Sam," said the athletic one.
"And Amanda," finished the blonde. "Welcome to our home, Brianna. I think you'll fit right in."
"If you have any questions," Maddie put in, "we can answer them for you!"
"So I guess we all work for the same place, then?" you asked. It seemed the safest of all the questions that were running through your mind.
"You got it," said Sam. "Company owns the house, as you probably figured. Maddie's an administrative assistant, Amanda's in marketing, and the rest of us have... other jobs. We're all single, for the moment, so the company decided to room us all together for the time being."
"And, uh," you add, feeling it was better to get it out now before you had too long to stew on it, "were any of you, before you came to live here, were any of you..."
"Guys?" Sam asked. "You're probably wondering if what you've heard about this place is true or if your driver was just pulling your leg. Well, it's true, and some of us were. I've always been a woman myself, but..." She trailed off, and then Maddie and, to your surprise, Phoebe, raised their hands.
"That's right - we were guys before we moved to New Lesbos," Phoebe said. "And I, at least, have no desire to go back. I like who I am much better now, believe me. Old me was a jerk. And he wasn't very good-looking, either."
"Don't worry, Brianna," Maddie said. "It's not as bad as it sounds. Trust me. Especially if you can find a nice girl to settle down with."
"Why do you keep calling me Brianna?" you ask, though of course, you've guessed the answer.
"Would you rather go by Bree?" Amanda asked. "That's kind of a nice name. You don't have to use the female form of your old name, of course, but a lot of people do. Of course, others like a clean break. It's up to you."
"I think I'll just go by Brian for now," you said.

You talked a bit more with your housemates, learning more about their jobs and their lives and the town, though you steered the conversation away from the transformation whenever it came up - that was still just too much to take in. Finally, you went upstairs to your new room and found where the movers had put the boxes of your stuff, and you spent some time unpacking. Finally, as it was getting dark, your stomach started to growl and you heard a knock on the door. "Hey, Bree," Maddie's voice said from the other side, "I mean, Brian, the girls and I were thinking you're probably getting pretty hungry and you've spent a long time working in there. We were wondering if you might like to come with us and do something fun?"
