With Spookyville over, everyone began moving towards Thanksgiving. While mainly this was about the "community banquet" that would be taking place for Thanksgiving, there were a few things that were not tied to Thanksgiving that were still important, if not amusing.

One thing that was a revelation for the newest members, in a way, was what was informally known as "fall fever" amongst Animalians. While almost everyone inside (and outside, for the most part) knew about 'heat' and 'rut', it was still a bit of a surprise when it hit them, especially the newer Animalians. Fortunately, heat suppressants and/or birth control was easily and readily available, especially for 'first timers'. While Miss Juliet remained insistent that she and Juan were not dating or mates, by now she was not so sure. Her girls did pick up some heat suppressants, but those who were feeling the "fall fever" were still a little flirty.
Probably what was the most hilarious were Sister Mary Lazarus and her fellow sisters. While they were still convinced their vows of chastity were strong enough to overcome their 'baser instincts', their first case of "fall fever" were enough to convince them that, maybe, they spoke too soon. While they were able to get their heat suppressants and birth control, seeing them suddenly lose focus and admire a few of the cat Animalians as they passed by, then realize what they were doing, much to the amusement of onlookers.

Dino City, while not unaffected by "fall fever" was dealing with another problem. Because of Animalia's reputation as a 'safe haven', there were now Asians and Asian-Americans moving into Dino City, no doubt due to the "hate-crimewave" against Asians going on. Fortunately, Clara had sent word ahead, so William wasn't caught off guard by the mass 'migration'. What was probably a little less expected was the large number of homosexual couples (mainly guys) that were also moving into Dino City, no doubt because of the massive musculatures of Dinotopians. What made a large part of it unusual was that for their conversions, many of these couples decided that they would do a specific combination, as exemplified by the very first couple.
One, who was clearly the more dominant one, had decided to become an Ankylosaur Dinotopian, while the other had decided to become a Utahraptor Dinotopian. After their conversion, it was clear that the Anklyosaur was still the larger one in the relationship. What was expected overall was that these new homosexual converts would begin noticing the opposite sex. Fortunately, Miss Fabina was already aware of this. She had already gotten in contact with an old friend of hers and opened contact with William about having a Dinotopian in a similar position as her own in Dino City. While William was still reluctant about it, he did allow a preliminary meeting to be penciled in, at least to meet this friend of Miss Fabina, especially since Miss Fabina herself was reputed to have come to Animalia to escape from the Mafia.
