Mary turns around and faces the corner, sitting back down and hanging her head low as the military official walks off and sobs to herself, quietly.
Jess snorts and rolls over a bit, pushing herself up to her hoofish hands and knees as she slowly blinks herself awake.
"Nnnghhh... God damn..." her forehead is pounding, a viciously painful headache not unlike a hangover. "Wherrr am I?"
"*snff, snff, snort*..." Mary sniffs, crying to herself. "We're in prison or something."
"What? Why - how..." Jess tilts her head to the side, and finally notices herself. "Ah!! Holy shit, what... what... oh... ohhh... I forgot, sorry..."
"S'okay... I should be sorry..." Mary's voice is choked back with tears and pain. "I've ruined your life. I forgot... I'm forgetting things... where I live, my family... I... what's my name again?"
"Name? Name... name..." Jess muses. "I... name... damn. I can't... I can't remember..."
"You seem awfully unconcerned..."
"I dunno... I guess... I really don't remember what life was like before, I guess. I'm not worried 'cause I don't remember what else I was..."
