Having no other choice, you clumsily walk behind the unicorn, who seems annoyed at your slow pace but too nervous to criticize you for fear you'll start crying again. So instead, he continues his inane one-sided conversation.
"You need to show more respect for the territory of others! You're lucky you ran into me and not one of those obese lizards they call dragons! Not to mention the orc hordes over by the western plains--"
At first you tune him out, lost in your own thoughts, but your horse ears perk up at the mention of dragons. Sure enough, the unicorn goes through a litany of various creatures you only ever heard of in storybooks. How could things have gone this crazy in just one night?
You're so distraught, you nearly clip the hooves of the unicorn in front of you, who has suddenly slowed.
"Hey, watch it!" the unicorn snorts, obviously ready to give you a piece of his mind, but pulls up short when he sees your face. "J-just be more careful...Hey, you overgrown flies! Get out here!" The unicorn turns and snaps at some strange foliage in front of you.
To your amazement, you see little beings come out from behind the trees and branches. They flit about, but as some pause, you see tiny androgynous bodies with clear insect-like wings on their backs. Fairies?!
