Trevor typed in his brother's name "John Rollins", the computer's
hard-drive immediately spinning up and coming alive as it
scanned his brother's profile from afar, pulling up his nude
image and statistics.
Trevor had been worried about his brother for some time, who
was stationed in Iraq. With the U.S. death toll mounting there, he
figured the first thing he could do with this new technology at his
fingertips was increase his brother's chances for survival.
Scrolling through the options, he began to increase his brother's
muscle mass and height; and, to give him a bit better luck
winning the ladies during leave, he expanded his package and
sharpened his handsome, rugged features.
Something caught Trevor's eye, however, as he was making the
beneficial adjustments to John. The subcategory "mythical."
Hovering the computer's cursor over the pull-down menu, he
clicked, displaying the hundreds of additional transformations
listed within. Spotting minotaur, his mind begin to whirl with new
thoughts. What if instead of just making his brother bigger, he
turned him into a huge and powerful minotaur? In fact, he
pondered, noticing the "contagious" option, he could make it so
that his brother and his buddies could become minotaurs. That
would certainly increase their chances for survival in Iraq.
Without much additional forethought as to the repercussions,
Trevor clicked on the mythical option Minotaur and contagious, a
description box appearing after he highlighted the later, stating
that all bodily fluids including saliva and semen would be
infective agents. Clicking transform, Trevor then focused on the
rotating image of his nude brother eagerly...
Far away, in Iraq, Trevor's brother, John, dressed in fatigues and
holding his gun, leaned against his unit's truck, smoking a
cigarette and chatting with his friends. His skin, already richly
tanned by the intense heat, seemed to very slowly take on a
richer, even darker complexion as he conversed. Adjusting his
package nonchalantly, some discomfort growing there, he
reposition his stance against the truck as his uniform begin to
feel uncomfortably tight. The change was beginning...
