Katie walks into the room with a bag on her back. Ollie can feel a strange feeling in his stomach emerge when he sees her, but this time it's a bit different. Although he can't quite put his finger on it. She puts her bag down and lies backwards onto her bed, texting on her phone. 'That's strange', Ollie thought,' How didn't she notice the bird cage that magically appeared on her desk? I better call for her'. Ollie jumps and grabs onto the bird cage and starts to chirp to get Katie's attention. Immediately she sits up and looks at Ollie, but, to his horror, instead of a look of fright or horror on her face, all he sees is a bright smile across her face.
"Oh no", he screams internally," she thinks this is normal".
Katie walks over to the cage with a beam on her face, which strangely starts to make Ollie happy before he snaps out of it.
"How do you like your new home Olivia? Are you having a nice time?".
Oh god no, reality must've changed, she thinks I've always been like this. And I'm a girl Canary now!!!
Before Olivia can even do anything, Katie opens the cage door and starts to stroke her feathers. As she does this, strange memories start to flood Olivia's mind. She remembers Katie rescuing her from a window sill once, taking her in and caring for her. Katie gives Olivia a kiss on the head and she experiences a deep love to Katie, but not a romantic one, one of a mother and daughter almost.
When she's placed back into the cage she comes back to her senses. "No! I wasn't saved by Katie, I flew in myself!" But even as she says that, she starts to doubt herself. It's as if her mind is starting to experience two lives. She has to find a way out of here!
