Diane sighed as she now hoisted Yuriko up onto her hip. Even if there were four of them watching the kids, it was proving to be a herculean effort to keep them in line. "So you rethinking this idea yet?"
Naomi scoffed, handing out treats to the four older girls as they watched t.v. "C'mon Diane its not that hard," she said. As she finished her sentence, the sound of two girls fighting began to echo through the house once more. Haley appeared to be undeterred in seeking payback on Lynne. Despite not yet being two years old the kintaro toddler had tackled the older Lynne, causing the nearly three year old girl to scream in fear.
"Haley," Naomi exclaimed, picking up the squirming child. Lynne took the opportunity now to launch a spell at her attacker, bopping the girl on the nose. Haley of course now burst into tears, babbling and pointing at the auburn haired girl.
"Lynne!"
"Haley bad," Lynne squeaked. "She hit me first!"
"Everything okay there Naomi," Felicia asked, the teen walking with Adam. "Yep everything's good," she responded, flashing a smile as she gave her friend a thumbs up. Felicia simply raised an eyebrow, glancing down at Tommy and Aaron. "You know I can help," she said. "The boys seem to want to hangout with Adam."
"I'm sure we can.." Naomi paused as she felt Haley wiggle out of her arms. The kintaro toddler now making her way towards Lynne and the others. Lynne nervously glancing at the girl before firing off a spell, drawing the ire of Haley's sister Kari.
"Hey," Kari squeaked. "Leave Haley alone! She's a baby!" Kari now began to transform, dark fur covering her body as her features became more vulpine in appearance. As her fox tail now popped out of her diaper, she pushed Lynne, knocking the toddler onto her butt.
The fight was on. The toddlers now taking sides in a pitched magical battle. Kari rushing to her sisters defense along with Morgan. The blond toddler forming a massive ball of energy, (massive in toddler terms, it was the size of a yoga ball) in her hands. Tricia, seeing her friend in trouble now flew to her side. The brunette child growing a pair of golden dragon wings as she squeaked out a roar.
"Okay thats enough," Naomi exclaimed. "All of you are in timeout!"
The word timeout proved to be a powerful one. All at once the toddler wizards gasped, turning their tiny eyes up at Naomi as their bottom lips began to tremble.
"Oh no," Naomi moaned. "No, no, no, no no. Don't. Don't cry. Please don't cry." Unfortunately for Naomi, it appeared the girls weren't listening as they all began to sob. Wailing at the horror of being placed in timeout. It was now Felicia and Diane coming to the rescue.
"Who wants ice cream," Felicia said happily. The toddlers now gasped, forgetting about their arguement as they excitedly exclaimed that they did. Felicia now marching the children towards the dining room table as she and Adam began doling out ice cream sundaes. Naomi simply gawked, why hadn't she thought if that?
"You doing okay?"
Naomi glanced to her side, noting Diane smiling at her. "Yeah I'm good," Naomi said happily, the Japanese teen now paused, her cheeks blushing slightly as she took her girlfriends hand. "Thanks for helping me."
"Your welcome," Diane said kindly. "But next time you say you'll babysit, try not to watch all the kids at once."
