You remain submerged in the lake for another hour but still feel reluctant to leave. It reminds you of times you couldn't get out of bed in the morning and kept hitting snooze on your alarm clock. But that was when you were a human, and had human responsibilities. You're an animal now, you can rest as long as you want.
You recall reading somewhere that hippos must remain submerged in water for several hours every day or else their skin gets dehydrated. It seems your new body requires different care than your old human form.
You finally gather the energy to leave the lake and to your surprise, there is a human hiding behind a tree waiting for you to leave. You don't run though, this human looks friendly, and familiar.
