I took off sprinting, not even looking back once. The further away I was from the other contestants, the easier it would be for me to hide. That’s what I thought at least.
I heard two loud bangs as I ran. I came to the conclusion that the loud bangs represented contestants getting transformed. It was only 20 minutes of running before two contestants were beaten. Only me and seven more to go.
I ran out of breath and walked for a while. After a couple hours of walking, I sat down on a rock near a river, and fell asleep.
When I woke up, I saw something I didn’t expect. One of the fairies was bathing in the river. She was about one meter tall, with large butterfly-like wings. In the water, she was wearing no clothes.
I was immediately spooked, but calmed myself down. She didn’t see me, right?
I was motionless while asleep, so maybe the fairy really didn’t notice I was there. I tried to slowly move away, so she wouldn’t spot me trying to escape.
I found a thick tree to hide behind for a moment, so I could strategize on how to escape. However, I stepped on the branch, and the fairy looked up.
I wasn’t sure if she spotted me or not. My heart starting beating faster and faster, as she looked towards my direction.
